The Generosity of the CIJF Community

On September 23rd, the Colorado Immigrant Justice Fund hosted Coffee Chat with CIJF - our second annual celebration and fundraiser.

We are grateful that more than 55 of you joined us that morning! We had a great time hearing from immigrants, immigration attorneys, and CIJF volunteers.

By the time the event was over, our friends donated a bit more than $21,000 to the cause, surpassing our goal of $20,000.

What your gifts will do

Your gifts open the door for us to do the following:

  • Fund additional legal services for immigrants detained in Colorado

  • Continue funding Elizabeth Lopez - an immigration attorney who provides legal services in a remote and underserved detention center in Calexico, California

  • Further invest in our partnership with Home is Here NOLA to provide legal services in underserved communities in rural areas of Louisiana

If you were unable to attend our celebration, but wanted to “chip in” to help CIJF deepen its work, you can do so here

We will continue to keep you updated on the work we are doing. In the meantime, please know that we are profoundly grateful for your partnership as we seek to support newly arrived immigrants.

With hope and gratitude,
Greg Mortimer on behalf of the Colorado Immigrant Justice Fund team
