    Claudia is an immigration attorney with Catholic Charities. In addition to her role on the CIJF Board, Claudia assists the CIJF team by providing legal guidance related to what cases to fund, in addition to our attorney partnerships.

  • Mariama Fofana

    Mariama Fofana

    Originally from Cote d'Ivoire, Mariama has interned for Africa Agenda and the American Red Cross. She currently supports CIJF remotely while serving in Togo as a Peace Corp volunteer and is motivated by a passion for human rights and telling untold stories. She supports CIJF with social media management, writing and digital creation.

    Kylee Johnson

    As a teacher in Jacksonville, FL, Kylee connected with students from many different cultures, backgrounds and stories, inspiring her to welcome immigrants to the US. Kylee now lives in Colorado and partners with Katie Wray to plan CIJF’s fundraiser events.

  • Karen Mortimer

    Karen Mortimer

    Through her international experience as a teacher in China, as well as engaging with diverse communities in Denver, Karen’s heart has been drawn to welcoming immigrants - especially those new to the US. Karen supports the CIJF with her administrative skills to hone its messaging and streamline its processes.

  • Katie Wray

    Katie Wray

    Katie’s extended time in Central and South America gave her an appreciation for other cultures. Katie believes that we are all to be advocates for each other - especially when the freedom of others is threatened. She partners with Kylee Johnson to plan CIJF fundraiser events.

  • Christie Gilbert

    Christie Gilbert, Co-Founder

    Christie recently retired after a 35 year career focusing on leadership development and executive coaching. In retirement, her focus has shifted to issues of social justice, particularly in support of recently arrived immigrants. She partners with Greg Mortimer to provide strategic direction for CIJF and plays a key role in our fundraising efforts.

  • Greg Mortimer

    Greg Mortimer, Co-Founder & Team Lead

    Greg partners with Christie Gilbert and the CIJF Board to provide strategic direction for CIJF. He also leads our communication and fundraising efforts, in addition to managing the organization’s finances in partnership with our accountant.
