Selky Azaah
Selky is a pastor from Cameroon, Africa - a country that has descended into civil war and genocide. After severely suffering at the hands of government forces, Selky fled to the United States and was detained for 8 months after claiming asylum. He won asylum in 2019, and the rest of his family joined him in the US in 2022. Selky does IT work for Adams 12 Five Star Schools, and he also adds an invaluable voice to the CIJF team as we seek to prioritize the donations that are given to the fund. He possesses wisdom beyond his years, and is a continual source of encouragement to his Denver friends.

Claudia Goldin
Claudia has practiced law for 30 years, including 5 years as a trial and appellate attorney with the Colorado Public Defender’s Office and 20 years with the Colorado Attorney General’s Office. In 2019, Claudia left state government to become an immigration attorney. Since the end of 2020, she has served as Director of Family Immigration Services at Catholic Charities of Central Colorado (Colorado Springs). Working with a non-profit immigration legal services organization has only heightened Claudia’s awareness of the gross injustices and life-and-death consequences of immigration proceedings. Claudia partners with Claudia Villa to give legal guidance to the team.

Antoinette Johnson
Antoinette is in a support role with Cross Purpose - an organization that is committed to abolishing relational, economic, and spiritual poverty through career and community development. She is universally known among her friends for her kindness and compassion for the underdog, and she has a long history of advocating for marginalized communities. She and Greg Mortimer have partnered closely in detention center visitation work, and her infectiously joyful attitude has been a continual source of encouragement as the dream of the Colorado Immigrant Justice Fund became a reality.

Greg Mortimer, Co-Founder & Board Chair
Greg is the Chief Information & Technology Officer for Adams 12 Five Star Schools, a large school district in the Denver metropolitan area. After working in Hungary and China, Greg was drawn to immigrant communities in northeast Denver after he and his wife Karen moved there nearly 20 years ago. Beginning in 2017, he started encouraging his friends to join him to visit immigrants in the for-profit immigrant detention center in Aurora, Colorado. The courage and fortitude of detained immigrants provided the inspiration to launch the Colorado Immigrant Justice Fund.

Claudia Villa
Claudia is an immigration attorney in Denver. A daughter of immigrants, her family’s sacrifices and hard work helped her achieve her American Dream as she became the first in her family to attend college, earning a business degree, followed by law school. Understanding the sacrifices and hardship of immigrant families set her ultimate professional course. She now works to assist other immigrants in becoming permanent legal residents and US citizens so they too may achieve their American Dream. Claudia assists the CIJF team by providing legal guidance related to what cases to fund in addition to our attorney partnerships.
