Colorado Immigrant Justice Fund in the news
Last week, Rocky Mountain PBS published a story about the Colorado Immigrant Justice Fund (CIJF). They included a link to a video that tells the story of CIJF team member Selky Azaah, who won asylum in 2019.
Several of our CIJF team members had visited Selky while he was in detention, and Casa de Paz volunteer Jessie Capstick raised money to fund Selky’s asylum case. This experience inspired us to start the Colorado Immigrant Justice Fund.
Year-end giving
In the first 16 months of our existence, we have funded the legal services for 17 asylum cases and provided legal consults for over 100 immigrants in underserved detention centers.
Our hope for our second year is to triple the amount of legal services we funded during our first year of existence.
If you believe in this mission, please consider investing in our work
With hope and gratitude,
